Tezpur as an educational site

Tezpur is a city and a municipal board in Sonitpur in the Indian state of Assam. Tezpur is an ancient town that is situated on the banks of river Brahmaputra and is the largest towns of the north bank.

Besides this, the city is known for its university. The university campus is situated at Napaam that is about 15 KM’s east of Tezpur. The Napaam campus is linked by a PWD road from the national highway No. 37, which makes it easy for students to commute.

The university was the first university in India to offer the course of Master of technology in computation seismology and the university is among the few in India that has its own Department of energy.
The university offers various graduates as well as post graduate courses in the field of science, arts and commerce.

Besides this, the city has a variety of engineering colleges, medical institutes as well as other institutes.
