Education system- Rajgir

Rajgir is a city as well as a notified area in the Nalanda district in the state of Bihar. The city was earlier the capital of the kingdom of Magadha that is a state, which ultimately developed into the Mauryan Empire.
The date of origin of the city of Rajgir is unknown, though the ceramics to about 1000BC have been found in the city.

Apart from being a very traditional city, the education system of Rajgir is also very strong. There are many schools and colleges in the city that aims at imparting proper knowledge to their students.
There are both government as well as private schools here that are either affiliated to CBSE, ICSE or the state board.

Some well- known private schools in the city are English medium, whereas there are a few government schools that are Hindi medium as well. Students not only from the city, but also from various parts of Bihar come to study in the schools of the city.
