Education system in Agartala

Agartala, which is the capital of the Indian state of Tripura, lies on the ‘Haora River’ and is just 2 Km away from Bangladesh. The city has several beautiful temples and palaces.
The city of Agartala consists of many localities and is managed by the Agartala Municipal Council, AMC, which divides the city into various wards and each ward has an elected ward representative or a municipal councillor.

As far as the education of the city is concerned, it is probably not one of the best, but the government of Tripura is continuously laying efforts on making the city a great place to study.

Schools of the city

The city of Agartala has a number of private as well as government schools that are either affiliated to ICSE, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as well as state boards.
The language of information used by most of the private schools is English, whereas the language of information used by various government schools is Hindi.
