Durgapur and Its Educational System
Durgapur is located 160km from West Bengal. It is an industrial city and is home to the largest industrial unit of the state. It is also home to a number of chemical and engineering industries and the power plants.
It is located on the banks of the river Damodar and has an average literacy rate of 75%. The male literacy rate here is 81% with the average female literacy rate being 69%.
